Information About Road Maintenance in VA
All of the roads in Shelton’s Run are maintained by Stafford County and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
All Shelton’s Run roads are maintained by VDOT. Visit the VDOT website at www.virginiadot.org for more information regarding the roads in our neighborhood. Please contact VDOT directly at 800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623) with your complaints and concerns.
Potholes & Damaged Streets
Please report any potholes or damaged streets to VDOT so repairs can be scheduled and completed. The Board tries to identify problem areas and put in requests for repairs, but we don’t always travel all of the roads in our neighborhood so it is important that the homeowners take an active role in this process.
Snow Removal & Road Repairs
All snow removal and road repairs are the responsibility of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). If there are issues with the snow removal or you notice they are not coming through in a timely fashion, then please call and let them know. The more calls they receive, the sooner they will come and clear the street.
The information below is from VDOT and should help answer any questions that you might have concerning snow removal.
